Unemployment Rates by State March 2001-January 2004
It appears to be time to move to South Dakota, Nevada, or Hawaii, the only three states in the union to show a reduction in their unemployment since the recession began. (Each of 0.3%, or 3 people in 1,000)
Of course, if we all move to those states--or even a few thousand of us--that gain will go away.
In fairness, Montana and Delaware, as well as the District of Columbia, appear to be neutral. But is it really encouraging that there are government jobs?
